It's possible that you could have dismissed Freddy Fender back in the '70's when many of us were inundated with led Zeppelin, Van Halen, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. (Not slagging on any of that necessarily.) It's possible you've never considered or even heard of Freddy?! Well, I'm here to tell you, to urge you, to go back and take a listen to the man. Every word he sings feels heartfelt and real. His music is a great mix of the cultures from both sides of our southern border. He's soulful, funky, country, and just the real deal. And that hair!
